Azad Jammu & Kashmir Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority established through an Ordinance on 27th September, 2006 followed by an Act dated 17th February, 2007 and start working from 1st July, 2007.

Mandate of AJK-TEVTA.

  • To provide and promote demand driven TVET Training.
  • To strenghten and consolidate the existing TVET system.
  • To develop a dynamic linkages with employers/industry and other stakeholders.
  • To adopt the national competency standards endorsed by the NAVTTC and develop curricula accordingly for implementation.
  • To enhance the capacity of managerial, teaching and support staff.
  • To assess the workforce training needs in the context of domestic and global markets.
  • To assess and conduct assessment and award of certificates and diplomas to public & private institutions.
